Fudge or Poppet

Post by Hunnybunny2007 »

PaP has been contacted several times in the last few weeks with requests from people to take their rabbits, Furry Friends kindly took Chester and Skye, and Underhill offered to take another which was a young baby, but the owner refused to let it go to a rescue :(

This one was on my doorstep and after talking to the owner I was very concerned :(

This little girl was a gift at Christmas, she was given to someone who had no cage or hutch and no knowledge of how to look after a rabbit :( For the first week she shared the living room with a cat (they had 6 cats and a dog) they finally got her a dog crate, she had been with them a week and they tried to sell her :(
I was really concerned about her, they wanted her "gone" as soon as possible, I collected her just over a week ago, she was sat in the crate with an empty bowl, no food, water, hay or bedding, she was wet underneath because she had been sitting in her own urine :(

The first night she built a nest, thankfully this turned out to be a phantom pregnancy, she's booked into be neutered a week on Monday, she's registered at the vets as Poppet, because she is quite tiny, but my daughter suggested Fudge, I'm still open to suggestions :)

She's still in quarantine, but she's enjoying life and we've seen her binky and happy flop :)

I like both names. Such a pretty bun glad she's safe with you.

She's just such a wee darling. So glad she is safe.

I think she suits Poppet, as she is so dainty. She will still have some growing to do though.
Spenser is pondering a new signature...

unbelievable ignorance :( - surely they should have known all creatures need water at least! sigh
Thank goodness she's safe with you.
I like both names, but would probably go with Poppet as it sounds more feminine...Fudge is a good name but could also be for a male bunny.
