Drizzle the BARC foster baby photos P4

Post by Rabswood »

I say baby, he and his brother now look the size of full grown rabbits. Sadly I haven't spent much time with them due to the bad weather but I know them well enough to distinguish one from the other. Their personalities are so different. Dudley is gentle, calm and well behaved. Drizzle is... A LITTLE BUGGER :))

I think he is actually very intelligent and that's what makes him full of trouble. He is very determined if he wants to do something or get something he won't give up.

He can climb and jump up over anything. He can escape from all the free range areas in my garden so now when the boys are out free ranging I literally have to watch him because he could escape from the garden. None of my bunnies or other fosters have been like this. He wants to explore all the time, I think he gets bored easily. When out free ranging I do keep putting different things out for him to grab his attention, add a box, a different tunnel etc which he does like but it doesn't hold his attention for long.

When he is neutered he really needs a home where he can free range and it would have to be a walled garden though, oh and he likes to dig too but not as much as Dudley. Dudley is the little digger.

Sounds a real character!

It's a good job Blackberry was so tiny, as he would have been an escape artist otherwise! Saw him climbing up the aviary netting a few times - got to a couple of feet high :-o

Photograph's taken today... the evidence

Drizzle jumps up and down from the free range area to the patio and back. No other bun does this.

Image

He jumps over the fencing at the other side of the garden so that he can get to the bottom sheds and cause trouble

Image

You can just see him in the plants. Encouraging Dudley to join him.

And here is down the bottom visiting Oxo and Lavender

Image

Dudley doing what Dudley does best... digging

Image

And Dudley still digging in this one, he takes it very seriously

I love bunnies with attitude, especially black ones :x They are gorgeous, how do you tell them apart when they are not digging or getting into mischief :)

I think it's a black uppy eared bun thing ;) Foster bun September is a bit like this. She can clear a 4ft barrier with ease, investigates EVERYTHING, has just discovered the joy of digging 8-| :)) and is the only bun I've ever fostered who comes to call. She's one smart cookie :D :x

Here she is playing with the treat ball...

...and finding an apple in the garden (put out for the birds 8-| ) :))

September is indeed a smart cookie! I can't imagine Lord Spenser condescending to eat anything put out for the birds. He's become even fussier about his noms indoors.
