Most Interesting Names

Post by RabbitResidenceEllen »

What is the most interesting name you've come across for a rabbit/guineapig (/other animal)?

During my time at the Rescue we've had boarders called Mr Albert Biscuits and Snowy Whitedrop and among our own we have Browncloud and Burny Whiskers. I named Chastity, the mother of six litters, continuing the advice at the Rescue "never joke about what to name a rabbit".

Hmm well I've met horses called Simon and Dave, which seemed a little odd, lovely names for humans, but horses?

Gosh, we've had thousands of animals through the doors in the time I've been here, some of my recent favourite memorable names are Mr Beau Jangles (a kitten), Augustus (guinea pig), Argo (rabbit), Lenny Lettuce (guinea pig), Mr Bigglesworth (cat), Andy Pandy and Looby Lou (kittens) and a rabbit called Nigel :))

I think Nigel is a rather posh masculine name for a rabbit.. did/ does he live up to such a profile? :)
My daughter (bunlover) has a rabbit called Arthur and one called Santi. Santi was given the Indian name for peace, as she was so neglected and emaciated when she arrived at rescue she wasn't expected to survive the night, ( she's 7yrs at present :))
