Princess Brie - From one extreme to the other

Post by The Rabbit Retreat »

I am sure you will all remember the story of Princess Brie and her condition when she arrived at the sanctuary, this is how she moved around

After excellent specialist veterinary care and months of treatment we managed to get her back on her feet, although sometimes she is still a bit wobbly and stumbles occassionally, she manages very well

But today she was out in the garden and I managed to get a short video of her, it not only shows her binkying but also shows how good her balance has got, she was not able to balance to wash and now she can

How fantastic!! :) What was wrong with her back legs and what treatment enables her to get back to normal mobility?

It really is amazing, but Theo does take the rabbits to specialists to give them every chance :)

Brie looks fantastic, well done Theo :) Thank you for sharing the videos :)

Yes, we consulted with both our vets and then the specialist, had loads of bloods, xrays and tests done, got a treatment program together and with the advice of the specialist and months of hard work and daily hands on care it worked

I cannot stress enough the importance of having the support of two excellent veterinary practices and the support of specialist vets up and down the country, I firmly believe that you cannot run a successful sanctuary without the back up, we believe in giving EVERY rabbit EVERY chance of life, no matter what it takes
