Bunny Burrows April 2020 update
It has been a strange month for us; life at the burrow doesn’t stop because the world is in turmoil. The animals are still fed, watered and loved. We were lucky and able to stock up on dried food, hay and bedding before the lockdown started and our wholesaler agreed to take telephone/email orders so...

Bunny Burrows February 2020
February has been full of ups and downs. This month we have lost two of our old long term residents both of whom where about 10 years old and had long term health issues. We have also had 9 guinea pigs born to 4 mothers this month. One didn’t take to motherhood too well in the beginning so another o...

Bunny Burrows January 2020
It’s been a busy month for us but that is nothing new! We are full to the brim and have a lot of high maintenance animals needing daily medication. We’ve only had the space to take in 2 guinea pigs this month as they went in our colony, if they needed their own hutch we would have been a bit stuck! ...

Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month December 2019
We would like to nominate our big boy and girl Fritz and Gigi Fritz is a Continental Giant rabbit who came to Bunny Burrows on Wednesday 16th September 2015. He was only 20 weeks old and already a big boy! He came from Leeds from an owner who parted with him because he didn’t get on with her daughte...

Bunny Burrows November Update
November started off badly for us with the loss of long term resident Hans. He had gone through so much in the four/five years that he had been here. Hans left behind his bunny friend Gretel who was spent several days looking for him. It took three weeks but we have managed to bond her to one of our...

Bunny Burrows October Update.
October has been a very busy month for us. In addition to the usual weekly vet visits (it’s surprising the car doesn’t know it’s own way by now) Gwen and Fliss went to the lakes for a wedding. With so many old and infirm animals in our care it’s taking a good 1-2 hours to do everyone’s medication on...

Re: Bunny Burrows September Update
Thank you for your offer to take some in. Due to the nature of how they came to us we are unable to send them anywhere other than our foster homes until they have been neutered. Fingers crossed by the end of the month all apart from the newest babies will have been done! X

Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month October 2019
Our guinea of the month is Cleopatra; more commonly known as Cleo. Cleo arrived at bunny Burrows in August along with 4 of her 5 babies and 19 other guinea pigs. It was a chaotic week for us where we took in a total of 36 guinea pigs! When Cleo arrived she was in the process of giving birth. Unfortu...

Bunny Burrows September Update
September started badly for us with the loss of Rupert. He is a much missed bunny who would have appreciated being your rabbit of the month. His prize was very gratefully received. The 36 guinea pigs we took in last month are now 38 we are hoping the number doesn’t increase further but there’s still...
