Re: Christmas 2023 fundraiser
Wow, that’s an amazing start to the year and thank you so much at such a difficult time. We received the money and the gift box and Alice is rabbit of the month….. hopefully how the year means to continue. This will help towards 2 rabbits, we feel we were conned into taking, but they will still need...

Re: July 2023 monthly donations
Thank you so much. Sorry I’ve not been on. Mike hasn’t been well, so limited in what he can do, meaning I’m busier! We have rabbit vaccines to do this month, so this will be a big help.

Re: January 2023 monthly donations
Oh my, I missed this. Thank you so much, so very much appreciated. I’ve put a wee update in general chat, but we have a bunny, Kirk, who has an infection/abscess in his ear, extending into his middle ear. He’s had an op and is on antibiotics, pain relief and ear flushed to try and treat it, however,...

Re: July 2022 donations
Wow, yet again you are all so generous and kind. This has come at a great time, along with the summer payout as we have 13 rabbits to get vaccinated and 5 male guinea pigs to be neutered over the next few months. It’s a big load off knowing this money can go towards it, as things are getting more an...

Halfpenny update
Sorry for a very late update, time flies when busy over the summer. We are sadly turning away numerous requests to take rabbits and guinea pigs and most every other animal we get asked to take. Sadly I think this is just the start of animals being given up due to lack of interest over covid and the ...

Halfpenny March update.
We’ve had a bit of an unexpected surprises after taking in some guinea pigs due to the death of their owner. A month into having them, 2 popped out babies. This was a bit if a shock, we are not used to babies here and other than our doves hatching chicks in the stable, we’ve never had babies born he...

Re: February 2022 donations
Oh my, I’ve only just noticed this. Sorry it been a bit of a slog with all the storms we’ve had.
Thank you so much, Alice our BEW was in for another tear duct flush and dental and Dusty Springfield is due another dental, so this will be a huge help towards the bills.
Thank you all so much.

Halfpenny update.
Sorry, again, for the late update. We have been really battered by the recent storms. We’ve had another 4 trees knocked down, and these were large, old conifers- one totally wiped out our peafowl run and a chicken run. Thankfully nobody was injured although we feared at one point we wouldn’t get the...

Re: Cushings disease
I don't know about crushing in rabbits, but in dogs it makes the skin thinner, more susceptible to damage. The body is basically overloaded with steroids, so increased appetite, Thurs and urination. Higher risk of infections, muscle loss, hair loss and pot bellied, this is in dogs. Horses are slight...
